Hello there everyone. Hope you are having a nice day (or evening).
This is the biggest update I have released so far. Three new races, three new quests (some of them with branching paths), two new playable bad ends, one new area choke full of new content, and a revisit to an old area. Not to mention the thousands of little fixes here and there aiming to make the game a better experience! In summary, this is a chunky update with lots to do and explore, focused primarily on transformation (but not limited to!) seeing as I have neglected that part of the game in the past few months.
The part of the update I am most proud of, though, is how fast I was able to put it out. Normally, it would take me around 2 months or more to start developing a main update, which would usually contain one quest and a few side activities. For this update, I was able to finally work freely on the game as much as I wanted, and I was able to put out all the mentioned content in just 3 weeks (keeping in mind I took a short break after the last update!). This is a pacing I want to keep up or even improve upon in the future. Now that I have touched on the subject, it’s time to talk about the game’s (and my) future again. As mentioned on the last round of news, I have recently moved out of my home country to be with my partner, which means 2 things: I am currently unemployed for the time being, and I have a lot of free time in my hands. I adore working on the game and all the experience and feedback I receive from it, but I also have to ground my expectations. I must find a way to financially support myself if I want to keep working on the game this hard, which is why I will be opening subscription tiers on ko-fi moving forward.
There are currently three supporter tiers planned. A $3 one for general support and early access to updates; A $6 one for access to early access and exclusive polls, and a $9 one that offers no special benefits of its own, except my eternal gratitude. After these tiers go live, I will remove the optional price tag from itch.io and instead put out the public release of the game in here every other month, with the early access version available on ko-fi on release day.
These are not choices I took lightly. I understand if they disappoint some people, as I know for myself the general sentiment towards ‘Patreon Scams’ and the like, collecting monthly payments in exchange for a few small updates before going radio silent. Know that in the event I fail to gather financial support for the game, I will continue to release updates for it with irregular frequency, as I have done the past few months. This game means a lot to me and I have goals for it, such as one day being able to commission art for a few select scenes and characters, and giving it a satisfactory end state with plenty of side content. After that, the future is open to a lot of opportunities.
I hope you continue to stay with us during this journey, either as a supporter or just as a player. Thank you so much to everyone who’s been checking the game out and giving us donations, bug reports and feedback. As always, remember to follow us on Itch.io and Twitter, join our Discord community and consider donating a few dollers through Ko-fi.
Have a good one.
