Version: Preview 2

Some file changes:

- The game will now read savefiles and config from the AppData folder, as explained below;

- In order to use your savefiles from the first preview, you'll have to move the 'savefiles' folder inside the game folder to AppData\LocalLow\Dog_Deer Games\Chimera;

- If you played Preview 1 and had content tags on, you must either turn them back on on the configurations menu or move the Config.txt file to the same path as above;

- Some people were reporting problems with the game refusing to create a character. That happened because either the game folder was unzipped on a read-only location or their antivirus was assuming the game's .exe was untrustworthy, resulting in the game failing to create the save file itself. This was a big oversight from our part and so we have moved the game's save and configuration files to the game's public folder in AppData, where most games store their player data.

Whats new:

- You can now sleep at the inn in Peddler's Crossing to switch to a different time of the day;

- Added some new night time scenes to Peddler's Crossing, mostly for flavour;

- There is a new bounty quest avaliable through Officer Pascal;

- There is a new shopping screen, with item descriptions, icons and a confirmation prompt;

- The game will now create an autosave every time you enter a new encounter;

- You will now get a prompt to confirm exiting to the main menu or out of the game;

- You will now get a prompt if you try to create a new character with the same name as an existing character;

- Added colour to some in-game text;

- Changed the looks of the loading and saving screens;

- Added special plates for genders and races;

- Added special plates for areas;

- The 'Cow' race is now 'Bovine';

- Fixed a bug where the colours in character creation were spaced incorrectly;

- Fixed a bug where saving during the slime bad end could break the text in the save file;

- Fixed a bug where saving and loading at the temple would break the game's text;

- Fixed a bug where the game would fail to load the inventory properly from the save file;

- Fixed a bug where completing the current active quest wouldn't change the active quest to a new one;

- Fixed a big where drinking a shortstack special wouldn't display the effect's text;

- Fixed some out of order text during the bounty quest;

- Fixed some dialogue triggers not working properly;

- Minor code fixes.

- We now have a 32 bit version of the game!

- You can run the game on linux using Wine, for now. We are discussing the possibility of a native linux build in the future.

That took a bit longer than expected, but here's the first major update for the game. You will notice this update focuses primarely on refining the UI as well as the scripting, but I believe this is an important step to consolidate a good base with which we may further develop the game smoothly.

Not everything in the update is boring though! There IS one new quest which you can access after completely the first bounty. And now that a lot of this work is done, we have more space to start primarely writing new content, with some scripting and UI work taking a background seat until any major future developments.

During the last month we reached over 5,000 downloads and even got a few fans donating! Thank you all for the support.
